The construction of the La Barre Ice Rink began in 1969 by the private developer Lépine, with its opening taking place on June 21, 1969. Ice hockey players quickly took over the rink, and in October 1970, the Anglet Ice Hockey Club, Hormadi Club, was founded.
Following the 2006-2007 Ligue Magnus season, the Anglet club was relegated to Division 1 and later financially to Division 3.
After successive titles as Division 3, Division 2 champions, and in 2018 as Division 1 champions, the club returned to Ligue Magnus in 2018.
Under the guidance of SYNERGLACE and LNH, the club aims to structure its CSR policy with an ambitious environmental approach.
