OLYMPIQUE LYONNAIS

Olympique Lyonnais plays at the Groupama Stadium, located in the eastern part of the Lyon metropolitan area, in Décines-Charpieu. The club is also the owner of the stadium. Built between 2012 and 2015, it has a maximum capacity of 59,186 seats.
The Groupama Stadium features over 290 points of sale (shopping and dining) and hosts around thirty sports and cultural events per year.
The stadium is at the heart of a large complex that includes hotels, restaurants, a museum dedicated to Olympique Lyonnais, and a training center.
The Groupama OL Training Center includes four illuminated natural grass training pitches, a covered synthetic grass pitch, and another natural grass pitch with a stand for 1,524 spectators, designed to host matches for the women's team and the second men's team of OL.

BIODIVERSITY
- Replanting of trees on the sites;
- Wood management at Montout, which supports biodiversity and is a location for beehives. This site is used for environmental education initiatives;
- Creation of a garden with an educational pathway;
- Partnership with recognized associations such as Pistyles (composting and permaculture gardening) and FRAPNA (Regional Federation for the Protection of Nature in the Alps).
DEVELOPMENT AND PROMOTION OF TRANSPORT SOLUTIONS
- Development of bicycles – Bike garage open 7 days a week;
- Tram stop in front of the entrance to the Groupama Stadium;
- Company mobility plan currently being developed;
- Electric shuttles between Euroexpo and Groupama for supporters;
- Partnership with STADIUM GO, FPFP solution, voucher system, and discounts on tickets or merchandise;
- Electric vehicle fleet for the women's PRO team (men's team to follow in the next procurement);
- Covered bike parking (500 spaces for a stadium with a 60,000-seat capacity).
RESPONSIBLE AND LOCAL FOOD
- Product sourcing displayed in accordance with the WWF charter;
- SODEXO is a signatory of the WWF charter;
- Creation of a waste-reduction dashboard for catering in the suites;
- Very limited food waste;
- Sodexo's locavore policy (for the suites);
- Exceptional donation operations (DMC) due to the Covid-19 crisis (to the Food Bank, hospitals, and students).
WASTE MANAGEMENT
- Presence of waste compactor under the stadium;
- Important waste sorting policy for VIPs, players, and staff;
- Implementation of waste sorting (except for players!), though issues were observed during the audit (both indoors and outdoors);
- Composting (mainly for educational purposes).
